GDSN® Initiative
Walmart has partnered with 1SYNC to implement Global Data Synchronization (GDS). Accurate synchronized data eliminates inefficiencies in the supply chain and allows trading partners to increase the efficiency of the business and achieve return on investment faster.
In order to achieve 100% accurate and consistent product data (i.e. item dimensions, weights), Walmart uses the Data Accuracy Scorecard (DAS). The Data Accuracy Scorecard uses GS1 Standards around product data to validate the quality of a trading partner’s product data. It empowers all members of the value chain to identify and address problems with data and data management processes.
